This pattern was originally created for use at Buda Castle (also known as the Royal Palace) during the reign of Francis Joseph I who was Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary. Initially created in the 1870s, it consisted of a golden laurel wreath branch and bore the monogram of Francis Joseph as well as the Hungarian Crown.

Material — Fine China, made in Herend, Hungary.
Care — Hand-washing gently with a non-citrus cleanser is most highly recommended. If a dishwasher is used, avoid overloading to eliminate the potential for chipping.
Avoid lemon-based dishwashing liquids and abrasive powders. Lower temperature settings are best. Cool at the end of the drying cycle before removing items.
