LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR PROCESS BELOW!

1

DISCOVERY CALL

Here, we learn about you and educate you on our company, our expertise, and our process.  We will inquire about your home and your project vision, and we encourage you to ask questions as well. It will help us both to determine if we are a good fit for each other!

2

CONSULTATION ($500)

An in-home to further discuss the details and scope of your project, this consultation is designed to act as a road map. Following your consultation, Tailored Home will provide a proposal thoroughly outlining the project scope, main goals and deliverables, timeline, and project fee.

3

DESIGN PHASE

Here, the fun begins.  You will work collaboratively with you the Design Team to understand your aesthetics, how you want to live in the space, and how most importantly – how you want to feel in the space.  Once the project is defined, you will join your designer in the studio to review initial design concepts.

Our extensive showroom is like no other in Philadelphia. We represent hundreds of fabric and wallpaper designers, furniture, lighting, and carpet manufacturers – all carefully curated by our lead designer and owner, Starr Osborne.

4

Tailored Home gets to work executing the project!

  1. Submitting orders in a timely fashion & communicating any changes or delays

Meet Starr

Tailored Home is led by Starr Osborne, whose creativity and passion are infused in all things Tailored.

After beginning her career at Sotheby’s and Christie’s auction houses in New York, and later running her own public relations firm servicing high-end artists, designers, and products, Starr literally wrote the book on home staging: Home Staging that Works: Sell your Home in Less Time for more Money.

In her book, she offers staging strategies for each room of the home, to make the right buyer fall in love.

Collaboration, communication, and teamwork are the foundations of Starr’s design process.

Starr intentionally mixes styles, periods, and brands to create environments tailored to each client. She embraces color and texture and is known for her nuanced designs. Her Tailored Home stores (located in Chestnut Hill, PA and Greenville, DE) follow the same philosophy.

Starr earned her B.A. in History of Art from Yale and was a Fellow at Historic Deerfield. She lives in Chestnut Hill with her family and has served on several boards.
